Overnight Care

Overnight care is becoming recognized as one of the most vital support services for new mothers.

Hospital stays are so short that mothers (and their partners) have little time to rest and recover from the birth.

Fact is, women just like you are being sent home exhausted and are still expected to care for this tiny new baby around the clock with little or no sleep.

Even new moms who had a planned or unexpected Caesarean delivery are sent home very soon after giving birth, with surgery to recover from... at the same time their new baby is wailing for attention!

What Can You Do?

Many new moms, perhaps just like you, feel that if they could just get a few nights of good sleep they could more easily face the sharp learning curve and the physical demands of caring for their new baby or babies.

Whether you are breastfeeding or bottle-feeding, Triangle Mothercare's™ Postpartum Doula's can help you get more sleep. By giving you the necessary time you need so you can better care for yourself and experience a quick recovery, you can take better care of your baby and family so that this transition from hospital to home is much more comfortable and happens much more smoothly and quickly.

Some parents want overnight care, especially during the first week or two after birth, as this is the most difficult time while you and baby are figuring out what works.

For others the first couple of weeks are not the challenge because family comes in to help, but when they leave, refreshing sleep goes with them.

There is no right or wrong time for overnight care.

Whenever you need us we can help.

If you are bottle-feeding, your Triangle Mothercare™ Postpartum Doula will feed, change diapers and soothe your baby during the nighttime hours so you can get some sleep.

If you are breastfeeding, your Triangle Mothercare™ Postpartum Doula will wake you when your baby needs to nurse and give you support and guidance as needed while you feed your baby. Your doula will also care for and soothe your baby back to sleep until you need to be awakened again.

One of the indicators for possibility of postpartum depression is sleep-deprivation.

Your friends with babies are not kidding you when they tell you that you are going to be tired after the baby arrives.

Planning for revitalizing sleep during the early postpartum nights is a good step to take care of yourself physically and emotionally.

We know you, your circumstances, and your new baby (or babies!) are unique, and we specialize in setting up customized programs to help fit exactly what you want and need... so please call me for more information, hours, and rates for nighttime care.

We have a FREE, no-obligation consultation set up for you, to determine your specific needs and preferences!

If you like, a Triangle Mothercare™ representative can even meet with you personally and help you see how having a Postpartum Doula can help you. We'll even customize your Triangle Mothercare™ Postpartum Doula’s help and services for you and your baby.
